iSamples Sample Management Training Module for Soil Cores

Creator(s):
Dere, Ashlee L
Abstract:
This module describes the steps for collecting, processing and managing soil cores sampled manually by augering. The purpose is to provide a protocol for collecting, processing and managing this type of physical samples to facilitate future discovery and use, including assigning International Geosample Numbers (IGSN). This training module was developed as part of the EarthCube iSamples Research Coordination Network.
