Detrital zircon geochronological dataset of Zhu 2 depression, Pearl River Mouth Basin, South China Sea

We conducted detrital zircon U-Pb dating through laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICPMS) at the State Key Laboratory of Geological Processes and Mineral Resources. The new detrital zircon U-Pb ages from Paleogene formations in seven boreholes, southern Pearl River Mouth Basin are used to investigate local versus regional influences on provenance.
