Abstract:
This dataset contains U-Pb zircon geochronology of 13 samples from the Campanian to Miocene sedimentary units of the Bagua Basin in northern Peru. The dataset was generated to acquire detrital zircon age spectra and obtain maximum depositional ages. Mineral separation and age determination were performed following standard methods for Arizona’s LaserChron Center. Zircon grains were imaged under Back Scattered Electrons and analyzed for age determination in a Nu Plasma multi-collector Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer and Thermo Element 2 single-collector Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer at the University of Arizona LaserChron Center.
