Izu Bonin Across Arc Geochemical Dataset between latitudes 32°40' to 30°20'
These data represent a compendium of published whole rock geochemical analyses of basalts through rhyolites from the northern segment of the Izu Bonin arc (latitudes 32°40' to 30°20'). The data are categorized as in Heyood et al. (2020) as volcanic front type (VF; La/Yb < 1.1), rift-related (La/Yb 1.1-2.2), and rear arc seamount chain type (RASC-type; La/Yb >2.2). These La/Yb values correlate roughly with distance from the volcanic front; VF samples are <13 km from the arc axis, rift-related samples are between 13 and 50 km west of the axis, and RASC-type are >50 km west of the axis. The data represent all published analyses from this region. Samples with trace element data are primarily categorized by their La/Yb ratios, but samples with no trace element data are instead categorized by their distance from the volcanic front.
