Abstract:
This dataset was produced as a part of a project aiming to reconstruct the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Cirvulation (AMOC) throughout the middle to late Pleistocene (~1500-125 ka). We used εNd values of Fe-Mn encusted foraminifera and fish debris, to generate meridional profiles along the western boundary of the Atlantic Ocean and trace the weakening and strengthening of the AMOC over glacial and interglacial cycles. The results provide evidence that the data indeed reflects AMOC through time and provide evidence for the weakening and strengthening of the AMOC over glacial-interglacial cycles.
