Abstract:
This dataset presents in-situ electron microprobe analyses of peak metamorphic minerals in a metapelite from the exhumed footwall of the Simplon Shear Zone, central Alps. Analysed minerals include biotite, garnet, plagioclase, ilmenite, and staurolite. Other minerals present are peak metamorphic quartz, kyanite, calcite, and rutile, with minor retrogressive muscovite and chlorite.
