Abstract:
d56Fe and geochemical compositions of Mn nodules and Fe-Mn crust samples from the Central Indian Basin of the Indian Ocean are measured and presented here. The Fe isotope compositions are measured using a Nu HR MC-ICP-MS, major elements using AAS, and the trace and rare earth elements (REEs) using ICP-MS. Methods of analysis and values obtained on reference material are documented.
