Abstract:
We present data for 12 plagioclase and pyroxene hosts of melt inclusions from Cleveland volcanoes. The samples were collected during a joint GeoPRISMS-DCO-AVO field campaign in 2016 (PIs: Roman, Plank, Hauri). All melt inclusion hosts were found in a volcanic bomb that was crushed. Melt inclusions were doubly polished. Melt inclusion data are presented separately. Here we present data for the hosts. Analyses were generally conducted <10 microns and <50 microns from the nearest edge of the melt inclusion. Anlyses were conducted on a Cameca SX-100 at the American Museum of Natural History. The objective of the work is to improve understanding of the magmatic plumbing system below Cleveland volcano. Melt inclusion and bulk rock data from these samples samples are also published in Earthchem.
