IODP Hole U1473A Shipboard and Personal Sample Thin Section Mineral Data
This is an EPMA major element data set for Clinopyroxene, Plagioclase, Olivine, and amphibole collected by Henry Dick and WeiQi Zhang at the MIT Electron Microprobe Facillity, and the facility at the Institute for Geology and Geophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing China. The data represents a systematic analysis of the shipboard thin section suite and their personal samples for IODP Hole 1473A at Atlantis Bank on the SW Indian Ridge. The shipboard thin section suite as it was chosen by the shipboard scientific party to be representative of the entire 809 m hole, as opposed to the suites chosen by Dr. Dick and Mr. Zhang, which were selected for more focused studies.
