Mineral modes and major and trace element analyses for gabbros and olivine gabbros from Hole U1473A
Abstract:
Major and trace element analyses of rocks and olivine, clinopyroxene, orthopyroxene, and plagioclase in olivine gabbros and gabbros from IODP Hole U1473A located in the southern rift mountains of the SW Indian Ridge in the Indian Ocean. The purpose for collecting this data set was to study melt migration and melt rock reaction in the Atlantis Bank Oceanic Batholith to understand the evolution of the lower ocean crust.
