Abstract:
The data includes SIMS depth profile results of Li implants into polymers, carbon glass and NIST 612 silicate glass standards. The goal of this research was to evaluate potential matrix effects for Li in kerogen. Because kerogen is not homogenous, polymers of similar compositions to kerogen were created via Li ion implantation to serve as standards for kerogen. We were particularly interested in how varying compositions of C, H and O may affect the content and isotope calibration of Li in kerogen. The data included contain individual measurements of SIMS depth profiles as well as the calculations for the determination of Li content calibration factors, sputter yields, useful ion yields, etc.
