Abstract:
The dataset includes new, original data of the petrology, geochemistry of major and trace elements, isotope-geochemistry of Sr and Nd and mineral chemistry of the pumices and crystal rich clasts associated to the last magmatic explosive eruption on Nisyros Volcano (Greece). Most of the data were acquired at the Dipartimento di Scienze della Terra of Florence and CNR-IGG of Florence and Pisa using a Jeol JXA9600 Electron Microprobe, a Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometer and a Multicollector Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry. The purpose of the dataset is to contribute to improving general knowledge of the Aegean volcanoes magma composition.
