Earth’s early continental crust formed from wet and oxidizing arc magmas
Abstract:
This dataset contains compiled and new zircon trace elemental data (Table 1) and whole-rock and melt inclusion elemental data (Table 2) for Archean granitoids, as well as Archean and Phanerozoic granitoids associated with porphyry Cu deposits worldwide. It also contains the calculated median zircon and whole-rock/melt inclusion compositions as well as the calculated magmatic oxygen fugacity and water content for these rocks (Table 3). Results of thermodynamic - geochemical modelling for the crystallization of a median Archean tonalite - trondhjemite - granodiorite composition and differentiation of a median Archean enriched basalt are also presented (Table 4).
