Abstract:
This dataset presents new major element data, select trace element ratios and Sr-Nd-Pb-Hf-He isotopic results for a suite of mildly alkaline mafic lavas from the Bufumbira volcanic field in SW Uganda. Bufumbira defines the northeastern terminus of the Virunga Volcanic Province and comprises numerous apparently monogenetic cinder cones. The new data are used in conjunction with published major and trace element analyses (Pitcavage et al., 2021, Lithos 396, 106192) to document the multi-stage metasomatic history of the underlying subcontinental lithospheric mantle.
