Abstract:
This research seeks to understand weathering and erosional processes by characterizing bedrock parent material and the fine-fraction of colluvium within the Stoneman Lake catchment in central Arizona, USA. Seven basalt samples and three colluvial fine fractions were analyzed by a Rigaku Primus VI XRF machine at the University of New Mexico’s Analytical Geochemistry Laboratory.
