Abstract:
This methods file describes EPMA methods used to analyze major elements in rock-forming elements (Si, Ti, Al, Fe, Cr, Mn, Mg, Ca, Na, K) commonly found in metamorphic and igneous rocks. This method has been used to analyze amphiboles and pyroxenes in amphibolite rock samples from the Entia gneiss dome, central Australia.
