Abstract:
The Kula Basalt is the youngest volcanism in Western Anatolia, Turkey. In this contribution, we present in-situ major and trace elemental compositions of olivine and clinopyroxene phenocrysts, combined with in-situ Sr isotopic analyses of clinopyroxene phenocrysts in the Kula Basalts. Our object is to delve deeper into understanding the origin of these minerals, the processes involved in rock formation.
