The chemical and isotopic compositions of natural gases from the Songliao Basin

Abstract:
Six natural gas samples for analysis of gas compositions, bulk stable isotopes and methane clumped isotope are collected at different gas fields in the Xujiawei Fault Depression (XFD) of the Songliao Basin. Abundances of singly and doubly-substituted isotopologues of methane (13CH4, 12CH3D, 13CH3D, and 12CH2D2) are measured on a Panorama (Pan004), an ultra–high–resolution gas–source multiple collector Mass Spectrometer at Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry (GIG).
