Major and trace element analyses of Eocene-Oligocene marine sediments from (I)ODP Sites 1166 and U1360, East Antarctica
Abstract:
Major and trace element geochemistry of Eocene-Oligocene marine sediment core samples collected at Ocean Drilling Program Sites 1166 and U1360 via ICP-MS and ICP-OES. Muds and sandy muds were analyzed to assess provenance and paleoweathering using elemental ratios. The objective was to compare glaciation and surface climate during interglacials in the Late Eocene vs. Early Oligocene.
