Abstract:
This data is in support of a manuscript in the process of submission. In order to characterized olivine deformation conditions preserved in the Southern Appalachian Buck Creek Ultramafic body, we analyzed a suite of relatively pristine olivine-rich samples using electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD). For each sample we include the (.cpr) and (.crc) data files. This EBSD data was used to generate data and plot crystallographic preferred orientation, misorientation axes (inverse pole figures) and recrystallized grain size for paleopiezometry.
