Abstract:
These datasets include major and rare-earth element whole-rock compositions obtained by X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS) analyses, along with measured major element compositions (including compositional profiles) of garnet, clinopyroxene, plagioclase, orthopyroxene, spinel, sapphirine, and amphibole, obtained by electron-probe micro analyzer (EPMA). The samples are kyanite-bearing garnet pyroxenites from the Gföhl Unit of the Moldanubian Zone in Lower Austria.
