Abstract:
This dataset contains average major element compositions of (Mg-)calcite, dolomite, and quenched melts from experiments conducted on mixtures of calcite-dolomite-H2O at 1 GPa and 800-1000 ℃. The major element compositions were measured by using a JEOL JXA-8230 electron microprobe. These data can be used to delineate the immiscibility gap between Mg-calcite and dolomite and to constrain the melting relationships of calcite-dolomite-H2O at 1 GPa.
