A buried Columbia-forming Orogen Front located in the Northwestern North China Craton
Abstract:
The dataset consists of zircon geochronology data in the Northern Ordos Basin of the North China craton. Zircon U-Pb dating was conducted using LA-ICP-MS at the State Key Laboratory of Continental Dynamics, Northwest University, China. Laser sampling and ion signal intensity acquisition by Geolas 2005 and Agilent 7500a ICP-MS instruments respectively, in which the laser ablation spot beam was 25μm and the laser pulse frequency was 6Hz. For age calculation, zircon 91500 was selected as the external standard for isotope ratio and fractionation correction. NIST610 and 29Si were used as the external standard and internal standard for element concentration calculation, respectively.
