Mineral data for plagioclase, pyroxene and amphibole phenocrysts from the Waiteariki Ignimbrite, Tauranga Volcanic Centre, New Zealand
Abstract:
This dataset contains core and rim major and minor elemental data for phenocrysts of the Waiteariki Ignimbrite, Tauranga Volcanic Centre, New Zealand. Plagioclase and pyroxene were analyzed via SEM-EDS and amphibole via EPMA. Crystals were analyzed using polished thin sections from 5 stratigraphic intervals throughout core ES112, in addition to loose crystals hand-picked from a bulk-ignimbrite sample.
A full description of the methods used and overview of standard data is available within the companion paper.
