Whole-rock major and trace element data for the Waiteariki Ignimbrite, Tauranga Volcanic Centre, New Zealand
Abstract:
This dataset contains major and trace element data for whole-rock bulk ignimbrite and fiamme of the Waiteariki Ignimbrite. Data includes samples from numerous stratigraphic intervals from core ES112 and field samples from throughout the wider western Bay of Plenty region, North Island, New Zealand. Major element data was obtained using XRF and accompanying trace element data via LA-ICP-MS utilizing fused glass disks following XRF analysis. A full description of the methods used and overview of standard data is available within the companion paper.
