Matrix glass composition of tephra samples from El Hierro's Tanganasoga volcano and western rift (Canary Islands)
Abstract:
This dataset reports the major and volatile (S, Cl) element compositions of matrix glasses from tephra samples from the Tanganasoga volcano and the western rift on the island of El Hierro, in the Canaries. Data were acquired by electron probe microanalysis at McGill University. Results show a wide range of compositions from basanite (for scoria lapilli) to trachyte (pumice lapilli and ash).
