In situ Lu-Hf dating of garnet and apatite from Olkiluoto, southwestern Finland
Abstract:
This data collection includes whole rock data used for Pressure-Temperature modeling; mineral chemical data for garnet, biotite, K-feldspar and plagioclase; Lu-Hf geochronological data for garnet and apatite; U-Pb and trace element data for apatite; and previously published whole rock geochemical data from Aaltonen et al (2016) used for understanding of the host rocks. Mineral chemical data was collected at GTK, Espoo, Finland. All geochronological data (Lu-Hf and U-Pb) was collected at Adelaide Microscopy, University of Adelaide, Australia in March, 2023. Geochronological data tables include data for unknown samples as well as standard data collected in the same analytical session. The purpose of the data collection is to understand the age and P-T conditions of metamorphism at Olkiluoto as well as the tectonic setting.
