Low-temperature CO2 mineral trapping batch experiments were conducted on hydrotalcite-rich rocks from Kazakhstan. A notable change in the chemistry of the aqueous solution was reported with a clear pH swing. Stable carbonate phases emerged after one week of the reaction.
