Abstract:
Fe isotopes measurements of olivine, pyroxenes and Cr-spinel from the MG1 chromitie layer and surrounding pyroxenites from the Bushveld Complex, South Africa. Measurements were performed at the University of Cambridge in 2018-2019. We aim to investigate the mechanisms that control high temperature inter-mineral Fe isotope fractionation in mafic cumulates by focusing on a suite of well characterized samples to decipher equilibrium vs. disequilibrium processes between those minerals.
