Carbonate clumped isotope data for Holocene tufas of Bed E2c of the Las Vegas Formation, Las Vegas Valley, Nevada, USA
Abstract:
This dataset contains clumped isotope compositions for subsamples of modern and early Holocene-age spring discharge tufas of the Las Vegas Formation, Las Vegas Valley, Nevada, USA. These samples were collected to establish a modern analog for the seasonal formation temperature of tufa and then constrain paleo-spring discharge temperatures for springs that occurred during wetter paleoclimate conditions of the early Holocene in the Mojave Desert Region. The results of these data are detailed and interpreted in a manuscript published in Geology by Springer et al. (2025).
