Abstract:
The data include Au, As, S, and Sb concentrations of Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous strata of the earstern Tethyan Himalaya belt. Lithologies include the sandstones, slate, shale, mica schist, and gneiss samples of unknown age. The Au, As, S, and Sb concentrations of sedimentary and related metamorphic rocks were analyzed in order to see if there are any change in concentrations for these elements and therefore give constrait on the sources of metals for the Bangbu orogenic gold deposit. Pb isotopes of these rocks are also included in the file. Additionally, this dataset comprises in-situ S and Pb isotopic compositions of two generations of pyrite from ore samples of the Bangbu gold deposit, aimed at determining whether two types pyrite formed during the same mineralization event. These data are also used to compare with potential source regions, providing constraints on the sources of sulfur and ore metals. In addition, in-situ O isotopic compositions of two generations of quartz are included to evaluate whether they are products of the same hydrothermal event and to characterize the nature of the ore-forming fluids, such as whether they are of metamorphic, magmatic, or meteoric origin.
