Whole-rock major, trace elements and Sr isotopes, zircon U-Pb isotopes, and clinopyroxene major, trace elements and Sr isotopes of potassic-ultrapotassic mafic rocks in the southeastern Tibetan Plateau
Abstract:
We report whole-rock major, trace elements and Sr isotopes, zircon U-Pb isotopes, and clinopyroxene major, trace elements and Sr isotopes for six suites of Cenozoic potassic–ultrapotassic mafic lavas and lamprophyres from the southeastern Tibetan Plateau. These data were used to investigate the crustal contamination (including the type of contaminated material and the extent of contamination) of potassic–ultrapotassic magmas in a continental collision zone and reveal its effect on the magma composition.
