Abstract:
This dataset comprises whole rock and mineral compositions for the Holocene Rock Mesa (2.2 ka) and Devil’s Chain (2.0 ka) rhyolites erupted from the flanks of South Sister volcano, central Oregon Cascade Range, USA. The mineral data set includes orthopyroxene, plagioclase, amphibole, and Fe-Ti oxides. These compositions are employed in thermometry, barometry, and hygrometry calculations and in models of Fe-Mg diffusion on orthopyroxene crystals.
