Abstract:
This dataset includes U-Pb age, trace element, Hf-O isotopes of zircon, boron isotope of tourmaline and whole rock compositions from the Zhongchuan composite pluton, China. The Zhongchuan pluton comprises five texturally and compositionally distinct units: granodiorite, porphyritic monzogranite, biotite monzogranite, muscovite monzogranite and tourmaline monzogranite. Mafic magmatic enclaves (MME) are mainly hosted in the granodiorite. Zircon grains extracted from the five intrusive facies and MMEs were analyzed to trace magmatic processes responsible for the formation of the Zhongchuan pluton. In-situ U-Pb age and trace elements of zircon were analyzed by LA-ICP-MS, Whereas, in-situ oxygen isotopes of zircon were determined by both SIMS and SHRIMP. Radiation damage of zircon was evaluated based on the full width half maximum (FWHM) obtained through Laser Raman spectroscopic analysis. Hafnium isotope of zircon, boron isotope of tourmaline and whole rock Sr-Nd compositions were analyzed by MC-ICP-MS and TIMS. Major and trace elemental compositions of whole rock were measured by XRF and ICP-MS, respectively.
