The chemical and isotopic compositions of methane hydrates from the Haima Cold Seeps, northern South China Sea
Abstract:
Ten methane hydrate samples for analysis of gas compositions, bulk stable isotopes and methane clumped isotope are collected from the site HM2 in the Haima cold seep area, northern South China Sea. Abundances of singly and doubly-substituted isotopologues of methane (13CH4, 12CH3D, 13CH3D, and 12CH2D2) are measured on a Panorama (Pan004), an ultra–high–resolution gas–source multiple collector Mass Spectrometer at Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry (GIG).
