U-Pb, major, and trace element data of garnet, biotite, and plagioclase from the Bengbu uplift area, Northern China

Abstract:
The major element compositions of garnets, biotites and plagioclases were determined using a Shimadzu electron probe microanalyzer (EPMA) 1600 at the State Key Laboratory of Lithospheric Evolution and Cosmochemistry (SKLLEC), University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). U–Pb dating and trace element analyses of zircons, as well as the trace element analyses of garnets were performed using LA–ICP–MS at SKLLEC, USTC. The major and trace element mapping of garnets was conducted using LA–ICP–MS in the Ore Deposit and Exploration Centre (ODEC), School of Resources and Environmental Engineering, Hefei University of Technology, Hefei. The Bengbu uplift area is located at the southeast margin of the North China Block (NCB), bounded to the east by the Tan-Lu fault zone and to the south by the Dabie orogenic belt. The purpose of the dataset for four distinct metamorphic-anatectic-magmatic-hydrothermal events were captured in their zircons and garnets.
