Abstract:
This dataset accompanies the manuscript “Arsenic enrichment patterns are defined by microbialite morphology, fabric, and accretion mechanism”. It contains sequential leaching mass-balance data and raw elemental concentrations of As, Ca, and Mg measured in microbialite, bulk sediment, and water samples from Hamelin Pool, Shark Bay, Western Australia, using an Agilent 8900 ICP-QQQ. These data provide the geochemical foundation for evaluating arsenic partitioning across microbialite fractions, sediments, and environmental reservoirs, enabling assessment of how microbialite morphology, fabric, and accretion mechanisms influence arsenic enrichment patterns.
