Winnaarshoek drill core - geochemical and isotopic data for Merensky Reef, Bastard unit, and Lower Main Zone (Bushveld Complex, South Africa)
Abstract:
Samples of half or quarter core were obtained at Winnaarshoek from three drill–holes (Figs. 8 and 9). Drill–holes WH–1 and WH–14 were collared in the UCZ and intersected the Merensky Reef; WH–1 was extended to intersect the UG2. Drill–hole WH-27 was collared in the LMZ and intersected the Merensky Reef. Sixty samples from the Merensky Footwall, Merensky, and Bastard units, as well as the LMZ, were obtained.
