Abstract:
The dataset comprises the geochemical and chronological information of the tephra layers investigated in the paper presenting the TephATA database (Leicher et al., in review). TephATA (https://www.crc1211db.uni-koeln.de/tephata) is a database designed to store tephra sample metadata alongside respective analytical datasets, with a focus on the Atacama region in northern Chile. This dataset provides an overview of the samples and their ages, along with their glass geochemical compositions obtained by EPMA-WDS/SEM-EDS and LA-ICP-MS.
