Analytical methods for zircon U-Pb geochronology and Lu-Hf isotopes used to analyze magmatic and detrital zircon from the Zimbabwe craton.
Abstract:
These datasets include the analytical methods for: 1) U-Pb geochronological data obtained in-situ using a mass spectrometer HR-ICP-MS (ThermoFinnigan Element2) coupled with a Teledyne Analyte Excite 193nm excimer laser and 2) Lu-Hf isotope data obtained in-situ using the ThermoFinnigan Neptune Plus MC-ICP-MS coupled to a Teledyne Analyte Excite 193nm excimer. The zircon U-Pb and Lu-Hf isotope data were obtained at the Radiogenic Isotope and Geochronology Laboratory (RIGL) at Washington State University.
