Abstract:
Lithium isotope, carbon isotope, oxygen isotope, and metal/Ca data provided for bulk samples from low-Mg calcite oyster shells and water samples. Samples were taken along an estuary salinity gradient in coastal North Carolina (USA). The purpose of this dataset is to elucidate possible environmental and biological controls on geochemical signals in modern oyster calcite.
