Quantified Dissolved Black Carbon in Dissolved Organic Matter Reference Samples
Abstract:
Results and calculations for the quantification of dissolved black carbon (DBC) in various dissolved organic matter (DOM) samples. Concentrations of Benzene Polycarboxylic Acids (BPCAs) in DOM samples that have undergone nitric acid oxidation are quantified and recorded from high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis. BPCA concentrations are used to estimate the concentration of DBC in DOM samples.
