Abstract:
This is a comprehensive major, trace and halogen apatite dataset from multiple Plinian and inter-Plinian eruptions from Santorini, Greece. Apatite inclusions and microphenocrysts are from eight major Plinian eruptions (Minoan, Cape Riva, Vourvoulos, Cape Thera, Middle Pumice, Lower Pumice 2, Lower Pumice 1 and Cape Therma 3) and representative samples from five inter-Plinian eruptions (M8, M7, M6, M4 and M1). The analysis includes EMPA data for all apatites and a subgroup which has undergone SIMS analysis to quantify OH in the apatite.
