Abstract:
This dataset contains 364 surface seawater salinity and oxygen isotope (dO18) measurements from 24N to 44N along the U.S. Eastern Seaboard. These samples consist of marine and brackish-marine waters from various localities within this latitudinal range and were measured with a GasBench II coupled to a MAT253 mass spectrometer; all dO18w measurements are reported in units of per mil with respect to the VSMOW standard. The purpose of this dataset is to expand spatial coverage of coastal dO18w measurements within this region and within the broader North Atlantic.
