Abstract:
This data release is a companion to data originally presented in 10.26022/IEDA/113013. Data presented here are trace element compositions for tephra glass measured via laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) for selected samples listed from International Ocean Discovery Program Expedition 341 sites U1417 and U1418. Their major element compositions can be found at the aforementioned DOI. Trace element compositions for 26 tephra layers are listed within: Li, P, Ca, Sc, Ti, V, Mn, Cu, Zn, Rb, Sr, Y, Zr, Nb, Cs, Ba, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Er, Yb, Hf, Ta, Pb, Th, U. Compositions can be linked to samples, and their metadata, using IGSN. We also provide concentrations for standard reference materials analyzed during all analytical sessions. Basic analytical methods are provided within and a detailed analytical methods write up, discussing accuracy and precision of analyses can be found at https://doi.org/10.14509/31471.
