Bulk rock major and trace element geochemistry of Quaternary mafic volcanic rocks from the Costa Rica arc to back-arc transect
Abstract:
This dataset comprises bulk rock major and trace element geochemical analyses of Quaternary mafic volcanic rocks collected along a transect from the active volcanic arc to the back-arc region of Costa Rica (Central America). The sample suite includes basaltic andesites, basalts, and basanites. The purpose of this dataset is to provide petrogenetic context and background geochemical characterization for companion stable isotope studies (B-Hg and Mg-Ca-Zn isotopes) conducted on the same sample suite.
