Mineral and melt compositions in disequilibrium partial melting of an olivine microgabbro from the Atlantis Bank oceanic core complex, Southwest Indian Ridge
Abstract:
Olivine, plagioclase, clinopyroxene, orthopyroxene, and partial melts minor and major element chemistry from disequilibrium partial melting experiments conducted on olivine microgabbros samples from IODP Hole U1473A (Atlantis Bank, SWIR). Point analyses were performed on half-cut piston-cylinder products by electron microprobe at the CarMa plateform (Laboratoire Magmas et Volcans, UCA, France). Experiments were run at 200 MPa and temperatures between 1125 and 1250 °C, for run durations between 20 min and 4 h.
