Abstract:
Whole-rock major and trace element concentrations along with in situ mineral major element concentrations, are generated, for the first time, in the rodingite and their protoliths from the Shargole ophiloite, Ladakh, Trans-Himalaya, NW India. With these data, we attempted to understand the source of fluids invoked during rodingitisation, the mechanism of rodingitisation in the high-pressure-low-temperature condition of the subduction zone, and the implications of mass transfer during rodingitisation in the subduction zone.
