Abstract:
This dataset contains whole-rock geochemical data, mineral major- and trace-element analyses, monazite and zircon U–Th–Pb dates, and trace-element data for high-pressure siliceous granulites from the Eastern Himalayan orogen. The samples are from the Namche Barwa Complex in the Eastern Himalayan Syntaxis. The dataset supports petrochronological and phase-equilibrium interpretations of prolonged high-temperature metamorphism recorded by monazite, with zircon data used to evaluate accessory-mineral behaviour during metamorphism and melt-present evolution. Major elements are reported in wt.%, trace elements in μg/g, and ages in Ma.
