Abstract:
This dataset includes mineral major- and trace-element compositions of pyroxenes and plagioclase, as well as whole-rock Fe and Zn isotope data, from stratigraphically constrained samples of the Eastern Bushveld Complex, South Africa. Mineral major elements were analyzed using a JEOL JXA8100 electron probe microanalyzer at the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IGGCAS). In situ mineral trace elements were measured by 193 nm ArF excimer laser ablation coupled to an Element XR SF-ICP-MS at IGGCAS. Whole-rock Fe and Zn isotopic compositions were determined using a Nu Sapphire CC-MC-ICP-MS with sample-standard bracketing; Fe was measured via the collision-cell pathway and Zn via the conventional pathway, both in low-resolution mode.
